Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced State Head to lead our operations in Tamil Nadu. The State Head is responsible for overseeing the sales operations within the assigned state, managing a team of Area Sales Managers and achieving sales targets through effective channel management and business development strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the soft drink/beverage industry, with strong leadership skills and the ability to drive sales and growth in the region.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Channel Management: Provide complete assistance to dealers within the assigned territory to ensure timely product supply, brief product USP, price structure, and advertisement material supply.
  • Business Development: Interact with channel partners regularly to generate desired sales volume, identify opportunities for improving retail sales, and coordinate brand development initiatives.
  • Planning & Management: Prepare sales forecasts, monitor stocks, inventory sales, and collections, and plan BTL activities (schemes, sampling, CPs, MDP, etc.).
  • Team Management: Identify training needs, plan/impart training programs, and ensure the team adheres to work timings and professional approach.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather market intelligence and provide strategic input to Marketing & Category Heads for further action.
  • Customer Service: Serve dealer requirements promptly to ensure satisfaction on issues pertaining to customer service, logistics, accounting, etc.
  • Outlet Expansion: Plan and execute outlet expansion and range selling targets and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in the beverages/FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Tamil Nadu market and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve targets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM and sales automation software.
  • Proficiency in local language is preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
