Job Description

Role & responsibilities


Candidates should have experience in Handling the DMART, Big Basket, Reliance, SPAR, Zepto, Instamart, Blinkit accounts.


1. Assist in developing business & infra for the assigned portfolio of MT and E-commerce customers.

2. Implement targeted sales and marketing activities as per business plans within assigned territories.

3. Track and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, aiming to exceed expectations in both MT and E-commerce segments.

4. Identify and evaluate market trends, competition activities, and emerging opportunities within MT and E-commerce spaces.

5. Regularly report on competitor activities and industry shifts to guide strategic decision-making.

6. Supervise and drive merchandising initiatives to enhance brand visibility across MT outlets and E-commerce platforms.

7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including MT retailers and E-commerce partners, fostering loyalty and satisfaction.

8. Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory.

9. Know the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.

10. Know the competition: Understand on-line and off-line players. Ensure selection stays well ahead of the competition

11. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations.

12. Identify opportunities for account growth and new business development within existing accounts.

13. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with client objectives and deliverables.

14. Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with service level agreements.

15. Monitor and report on account performance, utilizing metrics to drive performance improvement.


Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar client-facing role in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and demonstrate account growth.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
