Sopra Steria - Technical Lead - SAP EWM/ABAP Module (7-12 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP EWM Technical Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP ABAP development within an Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) environment. You will be responsible for leading technical design, development, and implementation of solutions related to EWM functionalities. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a proven track record of delivering successful SAP EWM projects.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of SAP EWM solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers.

- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, and user exits, within the EWM module.

- Design and develop complex solutions involving integration between EWM and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD).

- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EWM.

- Participate in system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Provide support for production issues and implement necessary fixes.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP EWM technologies and trends.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

- Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.

- Lead technical discussions with clients and provide expert advice on EWM solutions.

Required Skills :

- Extensive experience in SAP ABAP development, specifically within the EWM module.

- Deep understanding of EWM functionalities, including inbound processing, outbound processing, warehouse management, and material flow control.

- Strong ABAP programming skills, including experience with:

- Classical and ALV reports

- BAPIs and RFCs

- User exits and enhancements

- Smartforms/Adobe Forms (preferred)

- Object-oriented programming (preferred)

- Experience with integration between EWM and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).

- Solid understanding of warehouse processes and best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience in leading technical teams.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Experience with S/4HANA EWM.

- Knowledge of other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD).

- Experience with SAPscript or other label printing solutions.

- Knowledge of warehouse automation technologies (e.g., RF, barcode scanners).

- Certification in SAP ABAP or EWM.
