Lead Design Engineer

Role : Lead Design Engineer

Experience: 7 to 12 Years

Location: Bangalore(WFO)

Notice Period: 30 days to 45 days

Skills Preferred: Somebody worked on Tool design and Ground support Equipments.

• Concept and functional design: Do concept designs of tools (or other products) based on
• technical specifications
• inputs available at the time
• functional requirements from the customer
• and safety factors
• Core design and Development:
• Do complete design and development(CAD-3D Model) of detailed parts and large assemblies
• Independently develop the 3D model for components and assemblies considering DFP, DFM, DFA and DFM&S criteria.
• Propose new design modifications to existing tools based on DFM, DFA and DFM&S criteria.
• Define the load test and applicable safety factors.
• Support the Project Managers in quoting.
• Identify the design and operational risks associated with the tool/GSE.
• Documentation:
• Independently create component level and assembly level manufacturing drawings-2D.
• Know, understand and apply the ISO tolerance system.
• Create detailed design drawings respecting the applicable norms
• Verification and Validation:
• Support the PSE during the calculus phase
• Know and understand the applicable norms for the job, with special emphasis on CE norms
• Do a selection of the correct materials for each part with the support, if needed, of the Product Stress Engineer (PSE)
• Identify and track key characteristics and critical items of a design
• Cross check existing designs done internally or by a third party
• Manufacturing:
• Support the manufacturing team with issues during manufacturing
• Identify the best commercial elements for a given function such as Purchase parts and standard parts
• Create complementary documentation, like Instruction manuals, Bill of Materials, technical files, Risk analysis.
• Change Management:
• Reverse engineer existing products and / or drawings.
