Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sales & Marketing Manager for the Mining sector is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and increase the company's share of the mining products and services market. This role requires expertise in mining industry trends, client relationship management, and competitive market positioning, while ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the mining sector.
Build and strengthen relationships with mining companies, contractors, and suppliers.
Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key clients, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Marketing & Business Development:
Lead marketing initiatives targeted at the mining industry to enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
Design and execute marketing campaigns (digital, print, and events) to attract new clients and promote new products or services.
Work closely with the product development and R&D teams to align marketing strategies with product offerings.
Attend mining trade shows, conferences, and networking events to showcase the company's capabilities and develop new client relationships.
Collaborate with the internal marketing team to produce marketing materials and case studies that highlight successes and value propositions.

Client Relationship Management:
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key mining clients and stakeholders.
Ensure a deep understanding of client needs, offering tailored solutions that enhance their operations.
Provide technical support and product knowledge to clients, helping them optimize the use of products or services.
Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and manage escalations in a timely manner.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
Monitor the competitive landscape and adjust sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the mining market.
Analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback to shape marketing and sales strategies.
Use market research to identify gaps in the market, new product needs, and emerging trends.

Reporting & Analysis:
Provide accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.
Monitor and report on sales performance, key metrics, and campaign effectiveness.
Track the ROI of marketing activities and make data-driven recommendations for future campaigns.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:
Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.
Work cross-functionally with the engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and products to mining clients.
Drive team success by setting clear goals, providing training, and promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of sales experience in the mining industry or industrial sectors.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
Strong understanding of the mining industry, including key trends, technologies, and operational challenges.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
Willingness to travel frequently to mining sites, client meetings, and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or Business.
Technical knowledge of mining equipment, products, and services.
Experience in managing large accounts and long-term contracts.
Strong network of contacts within the mining industry.
