The Impact You ll Make in this Role Solventum is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workday Manager to lead and oversee a team of 5-6 Workday Analysts based in India who partner with a US-based team managing various Workday modules, including Workday HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Time, Absence, Payroll, and Reporting . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, optimization, and support of these Workday modules while coordinating with the global HR Technology and Automation team to meet business objectives and deliver excellent user experience across regions.
The Workday Manager will provide leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to the analysts, ensuring that the team effectively supports the US-based team and responds to any issues or requests. This position requires strong technical expertise in Workday, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to work across time zones with the US team.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership Management:
Lead and manage a team of 5-6 Workday Analysts in India who provide ongoing support to the US-based team.
Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they stay updated on best practices and new features within Workday.
Set clear objectives, prioritize tasks, and track performance to ensure timely resolution of Workday-related issues.
Facilitate regular team meetings to share knowledge, address concerns, and align on objectives.
Module Oversight Support:
Ensure the efficient operation and support of Workday modules including HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Time, Absence, Payroll, and Reporting for the US-based team.
Manage day-to-day system issues and requests, ensuring they are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
Coordinate with the US-based Workday team to ensure seamless resolution of technical issues, configuration changes, and updates across the modules.
Collaboration Coordination with US Team:
Act as the primary point of contact between the India-based team and the US-based Workday team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across time zones.
Support the US team by implementing system updates, providing insights on Workday functionalities, and suggesting process improvements.
Ensure that the India-based team follows the correct procedures for system updates, configurations, and troubleshooting, aligned with US requirements and global standards.
Workday System Enhancements Optimization:
Identify and implement opportunities for system enhancements, ensuring the modules are optimized for business needs and aligned with HR best practices.
Partnering with the Workday architects and COESs to provide ongoing analysis and improvement recommendations for HR workflows in Workday, particularly related to user experience, automation, and reporting.
Training Development:
Train and mentor the India-based Workday Analysts on new features, updates, and best practices in Workday functionality.
Develop training materials and documentation to ensure the team is equipped to handle a variety of system requests and issues.
Stay updated on Workdays new features and updates and facilitate training for the team to maintain expertise in the platform.
Project Management System Upgrades:
Lead or support Workday projects, including system upgrades, testing, and new feature implementations, ensuring alignment with the US team s objectives and timelines.
Assist with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting during upgrade cycles or during the implementation of new functionality.
Ensure all project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and according to the business requirements.
Reporting Analytics:
Work with the US team to ensure reporting needs are met across Workday modules by helping design and maintain customized reports and dashboards.
Assist with data extraction, analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate reporting for both operational and compliance purposes.
