6+ Years Experience in AS400 Administration.

Hardware Support: Work closely with vendors to install, configure, and maintain IBM iSeries hardware, including servers, disk storage, and networking components..
Software Support: Install, configure, and support IBM i software applications, including ERP systems, database management systems, and custom-developed applications..
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability..
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the IBM i environment, including hardware failures, software errors, and performance problems..
Project Management: Lead or participate in projects to upgrade, enhance, or migrate the IBM i environment..
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation of the IBM i environment, including automation scripts and procedures..
Training and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced team members on IBM i and automation practices..
Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and effective support..
Security: Ensure the security of the IBM i environment by implementing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and best practices, including automated security checks and vulnerability scans..
Automation and Scripting:.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks, backups, software deployments, and system monitoring..
Implement automation solutions for system provisioning, configuration management, and incident response..
Utilize scripting languages like CL, Python, or PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency..
