Sr. Software Engineer - IBM I Series/AS400 Job

We are looking forward to hire IBM I Series/AS400 Professionals in the following areas :

• 6+ Years Experience in AS400 Administration
• System Administration: Manage and maintain the IBM i operating system, including PTF installation, security configurations, user management, performance tuning, backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
• Hardware Support: Work closely with vendors to install, configure, and maintain IBM iSeries hardware, including servers, disk storage, and networking components.
• Software Support: Install, configure, and support IBM i software applications, including ERP systems, database management systems, and custom-developed applications.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the IBM i environment, including hardware failures, software errors, and performance problems.
• Project Management: Lead or participate in projects to upgrade, enhance, or migrate the IBM i environment.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation of the IBM i environment, including automation scripts and procedures.
• Training and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced team members on IBM i and automation practices.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and effective support.
• Security : Ensure the security of the IBM i environment by implementing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and best practices, including automated security checks and vulnerability scans.
• Automation and Scripting:
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks, backups, software deployments, and system monitoring.
  • Implement automation solutions for system provisioning, configuration management, and incident response.
  • Utilize scripting languages like CL, Python, or PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity and functionality of automation scripts.
• Configure, manage, and maintain print server support of the managed print services program.
• Should be flexible to work in Multiple shifts (General Shift, Night shift, etc. ) to support customers across the globe
