Software Engineer - Perl/Javascript (4-7 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in Perl development and advanced SQL. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of front-end technologies and backend development, along with exposure to Unix/Linux environments. You will contribute to building high-quality, scalable solutions and play a critical role in technical planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Backend Development :

- Develop and maintain backend jobs and applications using Perl, with strong attention to performance and scalability.

- Work with Catalyst Framework to design and implement application architecture.

2. Database Management :

- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries, including Oracle procedures.

- Integrate Perl applications with databases using CPAN modules such as DBI.

3. Front-End Development :

- Build and maintain front-end components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

- Ensure front-end designs are consistent and user-friendly.

4. System Operations :

- Leverage Unix/Linux command-line skills for deployment, monitoring, and debugging.

- Collaborate with system administrators to address infrastructure needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Perl programming, including familiarity with common CPAN modules (e.g., DBI, IO : : Socket).

- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and advanced SQL.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle queries and procedures.

- Experience with the Catalyst Framework or similar frameworks.

- Hands-on expertise in Unix/Linux command-line operations.
