Technical Lead - PHP/Perl/CGI (8-10 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Manage and deliver projects from conceptualization and visualization to technology mapping and final execution, ensuring adherence to scope and handling change requests.

- Interact with clients to understand their business and functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Guide the team in defining the technical architecture for their projects, collaborating with them to finalize the database schema.

- Manage, mentor, and provide technical guidance and support to the team, fostering their professional growth.

- Review and improve deliverables' code quality, performance, stability, and scalability.

- Enhance the technical competence of the team through training and development initiatives.

- Monitor development and unit-testing activities and provide regular project progress reports.

- Take ownership and assume end to end responsibility including design and unit test code.

- Able to specify, plan and deliver new or updated application functionality.

- Seasoned in understanding applications, data interfaces and hosting environments.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical matters in a comprehensible way also to non-technical customers and colleagues.

- Must be Analytical and possess good problem-solving capabilities.

- Hands on experience with setting MDM solution.

- Experience with Data quality tools.

- Experience building integrated systems from on premise to cloud-based infrastructures, preferably, AWS.

- Hands on experience of various data services on AWS.

- Ability to break down big problems into solvable pieces.

- Deep understanding of data platform capabilities, and strategic and architecturally-sound thinking.

- Skilled to lay out correct implementation strategy of event-driven data integration as per business needs.

- Experienced or conversant in emerging tools like columnar and NoSQL databases, and unstructured data.

- Must understand them sufficiently to guide the organization in understanding and adopting them.

Skills & Experience :

- Experience in PHP/CGI/PERL development, including Core PHP, frameworks like Cake PHP, Laravel, and different CMS systems.

- Strong expertise in front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular/React.

- Proficient in designing, implementing, and optimizing RDBMS databases, especially MySQL/MariaDB.

- Experience in developing technical/software designs for applications.

- Knowledge of big database technologies such as Elastic, MongoDB, and Hadoop is a plus.

- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.

- Experience in creating machine learning models will be highly valued.

- Proven track record in planning, executing, and implementing high-quality software projects, including using project management

tools like Jira.

- Experience in project coordination and delivery management in a product-based model.

- Familiarity with iterative development methodologies like Agile.

- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD.

- Knowledge of micro services and server less computing is preferred.

- Strong documentation, communication, and team collaboration skills.
