Principal Full Stack Developer

smartSense Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Developer to lead our full-stack development efforts. This role demands deep technical expertise in ReactJS and NodeJS, along with strong leadership and architectural decision-making capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

• Define and drive the architectural vision for full-stack applications using ReactJS and NodeJS.
• Ensure system scalability, maintainability, and security best practices.
• Establish coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across the development team.
• Guide performance optimizations and ensure efficient code execution.

Frontend Development (ReactJS):

• Design, develop, and optimize complex UI components ensuring seamless user experience.
• Drive the adoption of modern frontend development frameworks and best practices.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and responsiveness of web applications.
• Lead performance optimizations for frontend applications.

Backend Development (NodeJS):

• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Ensure high-performance, scalable, and secure backend solutions.
• Optimize database queries and design efficient database schemas (preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Integrate authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth.

Mentorship & Collaboration:

• Provide technical mentorship to the development team and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.

General Full Stack Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of software development lifecycles from planning to deployment.
• Implement DevOps best practices for CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployment (AWS, Firebase, or similar).
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions effectively.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• Frontend: Expertise in ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
• State Management: Strong understanding of Redux, Context API, or similar solutions.
• Backend: Extensive experience with NodeJS, Express.js, and RESTful API development.
• Databases: Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL and experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB is a plus).
• Testing & Quality: Experience with Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or other testing frameworks.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Exposure to AWS, Firebase, and modern cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Experience with React Native for mobile app development is a plus.
