Data Engineer - Snowflake DB/Data Warehousing (3-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

As a Data Engineer, you will apply your skills in Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Azure to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines and solutions for large-scale data processing and analytics.

You will work with a variety of technologies, including DBT for data transformation, Shell Scripting for automation, and data modeling techniques to create high-quality data structures. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data flow and integration, while adhering to best practices in cloud infrastructure and security.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Snowflake & SQL Development : Hands-on experience in working with Snowflake data warehouse for data storage, retrieval, and optimization. Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for large datasets.

- Data Transformation (DBT) : Exposure to DBT for transforming raw data into actionable insights and reports.

- Python Development : Ability to write Python scripts for data processing, automation, and integration with data platforms.

- Data Modeling : Exposure to data modeling concepts and practices to ensure the creation of efficient and scalable data architectures.

- Shell Scripting : Familiarity with shell scripting to automate data-related tasks and pipeline management.

- Cloud & Azure : Experience with Azure for cloud infrastructure management, including data storage, compute, and data processing services.

- Collaboration & Communication : Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.

- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills :

- Basic knowledge of Snowflake data warehouse and experience with SQL for querying and data manipulation.

- Exposure to DBT for data transformation and pipeline management.

- Ability to write Python scripts for data processing and automation.

- Basic to mid-level understanding of data modeling concepts.

- Familiarity with shell scripting for automating data-related tasks.

- Proficiency in Azure cloud services, particularly for data processing and storage solutions.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and technical explanation.

Additional Skills :

- Experience with any of the orchestration tools (Tidel, AirFlow, Control M) to manage and automate workflows.

- Exposure to security best practices for cloud-based data solutions.
