Sr. Electrical Engineer (Electrical Staff Engineer)

Responsible for the design and development of CMOS Integrated circuit designs

The candidate will work within a group of analog/RF IC design experts and be assigned to a multi-chip module product team with typically 3 to 5 design engineers.

The candidate will interface with design management and module design teams to create the detailed specification, report design progress, and to collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.

Requirements:

BS / MS / PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field

Expertise with Cadence design tools including schematic capture, simulators, and layout

Strong communication skills, ability to organize information and present results clearly.

Advanced knowledge of analog designs such as bandgaps, op-amps, regulators, precision current sources in CMOS or BiCMOS technologies

Knowledge of feedback systems, poles and zeroes, loop dynamics

Basic digital logic, truth tables, digital signaling techniques

Basic knowledge of MOS and bipolar device physics, and the semiconductor manufacturing processes

Overseeing the work of layout designers, test engineers

Excellent verbal and presentation skills

Familiarity with co-design of analog and digital circuits, trim circuits, ADC/DAC

System modeling skills (e.g. MATLAB, Verilog-A)

Good judgment in solving a broad range of issues, based on educational background and/or industry experience
