Sr. Principal Design Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior PDK/EDA Manager to lead a Process Design Kit (PDK) and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) development team. In this role, you will oversee the development, validation, and maintenance of PDKs and EDA tools, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency in our design processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the India PDK/EDA development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

- Oversee the development and maintenance of PDKs for our internal Acoustic Filter Foundry.

- Ensure the accuracy and functionality of PDK components,

- Collaborate with process engineers, design teams, EDA tool vendors and the US PDK Team to integrate PDKs into the design environment.

- Drive the adoption of best practices and methodologies for PDK and EDA development.
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of PDKs and EDA tools to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide technical support and training to internal design teams on PDK and EDA tool usage.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in semiconductor technology and EDA tools to continuously improve development processes.
- Document development processes, guidelines, and best practices.

• MSEE or MSCS and 10 years of experience working with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) for RF/Analog IC design.
• 3 years of management experience
• Extensive experience in PDK development and EDA tool management.
• Understanding of semiconductor device physics and fabrication processes
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Linux Shell Scripts
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADS and Calibre
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
