Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Manager (KAM) to head our e-commerce strategy and lead a team of 8-10 KAM Managers. This role involves managing key accounts across multiple online and offline channels to drive business growth and brand presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of strategic thinking, e-commerce expertise, and leadership skills to lead the team and ensure alignment with the company's overall goals.
As the Head of E-Commerce, you will be responsible for formulating and executing strategies to maximize online sales, ensure exceptional customer experience, and drive the growth of digital footprint. In parallel, you will manage key offline channels to ensure brand expansion and awareness across various retail touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 8-10 KAM Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals, setting performance targets, and fostering a culture of high performance.
- Coach and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance individual and collective team performance.
- Conduct regular team reviews, performance appraisals, and development sessions.
E-Commerce Strategy Development & Execution:
- Own the e-commerce business , driving online sales through multiple platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and the company's own website.
- Formulate and implement online growth strategies, including digital marketing, SEO, promotions, and customer acquisition initiatives.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to execute campaigns, track metrics, and analyze trends to optimize performance.
- Manage relationships with key online platforms, ensuring brand visibility, optimal product placement, and strategic marketing initiatives.
Offline Channel Growth & Management:
- Drive the growth of retail footprint by overseeing offline sales channels, including major retailers, stores, and pop-up shops.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners to ensure the effective promotion of products and maximize shelf space.
- Oversee offline promotions, merchandising, and in-store events to increase brand visibility and customer loyalty.
Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and retail partners (both online and offline).
- Negotiate terms and conditions with key accounts to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes and increased profitability.
- Analyze sales data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights and recommendations for business growth.
Reporting & Strategy Alignment:
- Provide regular reports to the Business Head/CEO, highlighting key performance metrics, growth trends, challenges, and recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure business strategies align with overall vision, mission, and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, providing insights to the leadership team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in e-commerce management, key account management, or retail business development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of both online and offline sales channels, with proven success in driving growth through e-commerce and retail partnerships.
- Experience managing a team and leading cross-functional collaboration across marketing, sales, and operations.
- Previous experience in the wellness, beauty, or FMCG industries is a plus.
