Planning Engineer - Transmission Line

Role : Planning Engineer

Responsibilities:

Develop detailed project plans, construction schedules, outlining the scope and objectives of the project and resource allocation strategies to ensure the efficient and timely execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and constraints and align project plan with overall project timelines and goals.   Coordinate with vendors to ensure that materials, equipment, and services are delivered according to project requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
Proactively report deviations, delays and expected variances to schedule to the project management office and all related stakeholders.
Prepare site level budget, cost reports, rates and variance analysis to provide insights into project financial status and potential risks.
Ensure that costing and billing processes comply with contractual agreements, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Carry out delay analysis, prepare claims in case of deviation w.r.t the schedule.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience : 5 - 10 years of experience in Project planning and engineering within the power transmission line. Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and resource optimization. Solid proficiency in engineering software, project management software, and simulation applications.

Qualification : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Professional certifications in Project Management or Planning a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in power transmission line design and construction.
