Skillz is a U.S.-based gaming platform, expanding its operations in India. Our mission is to provide players with skill-based mobile games where they can compete for real cash prizes. We're looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer (Mobile SDK) to join our team in Bangalore, India. You will report to the Director of Engineering and lead the technical strategy for our mobile SDK, supporting the growth of our platform while exploring new product domains.

Role & Responsibilities :

As the Lead Software Engineer (Mobile SDK) - you'll report to our Director of Engineering and spearhead the technical vision and strategy for the SDK organization.

- Your role involves shaping the technical direction for our mobile SDK, supporting the growth of our core business, and venturing into new product domains.

- You'll focus on developing core features that boost retention, engagement, and monetization metrics for our most valuable customers.

- Your main responsibility is to build and deliver a cutting-edge real-time SDK offered to developers by Skillz.

Key Qualifications :

- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven ability to lead teams and projects.

- Expertise in React Native (JavaScript, TypeScript) for mobile development (Android/iOS).

- Proficiency in at least two of the following : Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift.

- Experience in the gaming industry is preferred.

- Alternatively, experience with Unity and a passion for building gaming services will also be considered.

- Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering consumer-facing products.

- Able to work in-office in Bangalore, India, 5 days a week.
