WordPress Developer

Role & responsibilities: :

• Designing and implementing new features and functionalities based on client or project requirements
• Build fully functional WordPress websites based on business requirements and design specs
• Design and develop user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development life cycle
• Collaborate with design, graphic and writing teams to produce high-quality web pages
• Evaluate designs, wireframes and other deliverables during the design and user experience
• Maintaining consistent site appearance by enforcing content standards
• Establishing and guiding the websites architecture to ensure effective site performance
• Creating elegant UI experiences with that are backwards compatible and accessible, based on InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop designs from the team's designers
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
• Apply complex functionality using scripting languages (PHP, PERL, Java, Python) to create custom CMS modules
• Engineer effective tools for writers and readers to use, and more
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin
• Generating custom-tailored WordPress themes and altering pre-existing templates
• Integrating data from various back-end services and databases
• Performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting as needed
• Ensure website performance and accessibility 24x7
• Solve complex problems in simple ways
• Solve bugs and address client issues in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure the sites performance and availability while managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Deploy changes to live servers
• Conduct website performance tests and optimize for speed
• Implement website security and data protection
• Test solutions across multiple browsers and platforms in a local testing environment
• Develop system test criteria and participate in systems testing
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Proficient in working in a LAMP stack
• Experience with web hosting through Apache
• Working with task runners such as Gulp or Grunt, Ruby, Linux shell scripts
• Working with Google APIs and RESTful APIs
• PHP and HTML development outside of WordPress for landing pages, microsites
• Build new, reusable, and high-quality code using AI
• Understand and modify existing systems as business requirements change
• Work alongside a young, international, highly talented, multi-skilled, and digital team
• Maintain updated knowledge of the development industry and new advancements in technology

Preferred candidate profile: :

• BSc/B. Tech degree in Computer Science or a similar field. A knowledgeable Architect/Designer/Planner with an aptitude for programming/web development can be considered.
• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer for 5 years
• Exposure to real estate, architecture and interior design websites and projects
• Ability to work in the US shift.
