Lead Procurement and Contracts

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, organizing and managing diverse procurement activities and aligning with design engineering.
• Ability to fit purchase into project ecosystem besides maintaining freight and supply chain costs.
• Negotiate terms and conditions, commercial provisions and rates with suppliers and service providers.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with external vendors, stakeholders, other support groups and project team members.
• Identification, pre-qualification and ongoing management of service providers and suppliers.
• Fulfillment of various supply chain requirements relating to project performance.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of contracting and procurement processes and procedures.
• Ensure tendering, procurement and contracting activities are carried out in compliance with the Company management system.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing contracting, procurement and risk management documents including strategies, policies and procedures, as required.
• Review and provide input to technical work scopes with a view to minimizing commercial risks.
• Timeliness, accuracy and adequacy of problem identification, status reporting and corrective actions
• Ensure the contracts register and all contracts and variations are up to date.
• Expediting and project management teams during project execution to maintain on-time material delivery and supply.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in Procurement and supply chain activities in Renewable sectors/Oil & Gas/EPC/Power
• Experience in management and administration of contracts.
• Experience in complex contract and commercial negotiations.
• Experience in tendering and supplier pre-qualification processes.
• Experience and understanding of the legal and commercial terms and conditions of contracts
• Currently based out of or open to relocating to Pune.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to present data as infographics is essential.
