Taxation & Finance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct Taxation & Compliance:

• Ensure timely filing of direct tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Manage corporate tax planning, advance tax calculations, and tax audits.
• Handle tax assessments, appeals, and litigation with tax authorities.

2. Tax Assessment & Advisory:

• Provide expert advice on tax structuring and optimization.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors for tax-related matters.
• Address notices, scrutiny, and assessment proceedings effectively.

3. Financial Reporting & MIS:

• Prepare and analyze MIS reports related to taxation, financial performance, and compliance.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with tax implications.
• Ensure accurate documentation of tax records and reports for audits.

4. Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Updates:

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws, GST regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Income Tax, GST, and other applicable financial regulations.
• Liaise with government authorities for regulatory compliance and reporting.

5. Audit & Reconciliation:

• Support statutory and internal audits by providing tax-related documentation.
• Conduct reconciliation of tax provisions, TDS, GST, and other financial statements.
• Ensure proper accounting of tax-related transactions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Direct Taxation, Income Tax, and Tax Assessments.
• Experience in handling MIS reporting, financial analysis, and compliance.
• Excellent understanding of tax laws, statutory regulations, and financial audits.
• Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or other accounting/taxation software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and liaise with auditors and tax authorities.
