Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-5 years of experience in Accounts and Direct/Indirect Taxation to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing accounting functions and tax compliance in a manufacturing enterprise. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and supporting financial planning and analysis activities to optimize the organization’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Management:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, corporate policies, and statutory requirements.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Direct Taxation:
• Manage income tax return filing, tax assessments, and audits.
• Keep up to date with changes in direct tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company’s compliance with all relevant tax requirements.
• Advise on tax planning and work on reducing the organization’s tax liabilities.
• Indirect Taxation (GST, Excise, etc.):
• Oversee GST compliance, including GST returns and audits.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws related to VAT, excise duties, customs, and other indirect taxes applicable to the manufacturing sector.
• Handle assessments, refunds, and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
• Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
• Support the preparation of reports for management and statutory auditors.
• Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and statutory compliance reports.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for smooth audits and assessments.
• Stay current on financial regulations and legal requirements.
• Team Collaboration & Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure effective work practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and sales, to ensure proper financial reporting and tax compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, and taxation.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in accounting and tax functions, preferably in a manufacturing enterprise.
• Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax laws (GST, VAT, Excise, Income Tax).
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning.
• Familiarity with ERP systems /Tally and advanced Excel skills.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and regulatory requirements.
