Role Title: System AdministratorLocation: Pune About the Role:The role involves providing first-line IT support to local and remote users, ensuring efficient handling of technical issues and requests via email, phone, or ticketing system. Responsibilities include managing IT equipment (e.g., laptops, printers), performing regular preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with IT security procedures. The position also involves troubleshooting and resolving issues within defined SLAs, coordinating IT hardware procurement, and maintaining up-to-date inventory and documentation. Additional tasks include supporting office facilities management, assisting with employee engagement activities, and providing administrative support to the team. The role requires excellent customer service skills and a focus on achieving high customer satisfaction. What You ll Do: Handle assigned IT issues promptly via email, phone, or ticketing system, ensuring excellent customer service and teamwork. Act as the local IT Systems Engineer, providing first-line support to users, and escalating issues to the Helpdesk in Gurugram as needed. Perform regular preventive maintenance and ad-hoc upgrades to IT systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with IT security procedures. Manage hardware procurement, installation, and support for IT equipment (e.g., laptops, printers, mobile phones). Maintain accurate IT hardware/software inventory and related documentation, including administrative tasks. Coordinate with procurement teams for IT supplies and assist in setting up backup applications for users. Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues based on severity, meeting defined SLAs, and provide timely resolutions. Provide support via phone, email, and web tools, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction and adhering to company policies and guidelines. Attend meetings to review IT product enhancements and document daily activities. Perform ad-hoc tasks, including BMS functions like enabling new joiners access and coordinating office maintenance (e.g., AC, electricity, cleaning). Assist in employee engagement activities and provide administrative support to the team when required. Ensure effective fault management, timely resolution of IT issues, and assist with office procurement needs (e.g., stationery, water).
What You ll Need: 5-8 years experience in an infrastructure / technical support process Intermediate to high level understanding of Linux/Solaris command line Intermediate to advanced level Excel and analytical skills Basic to Intermediate level understanding of visualization environment and infrastructure Intermediate to advanced level functional knowledge of Windows and Mac OS Basic to Intermediate level understanding of Database system preferably MS-SQL, Oracle Basic level understanding of file encryption and decryption concepts and algorithm Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
