Key Responsibilities : Supervision and Leadership : Lead and supervise a team of welders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to welding personnel. Quality Assurance : Monitor and inspect welded components to ensure they meet specified quality standards. Implement and enforce quality control procedures and corrective actions as needed. Production Planning : Collaborate with production planners to schedule welding activities based on project timelines and resource availability. Ensure that production targets are met efficiently and within deadlines. Resource Management : Manage welding resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials. Coordinate with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of welding materials. Training and Development : Identify training needs for welding personnel and coordinate training programs. Stay updated on new welding technologies and industry best practices. Workflow Optimization : Implement process improvements to enhance welding efficiency and reduce production costs. Analyze and optimize welding sequences for complex projects. Safety Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment. Investigate and report any incidents or accidents promptly. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of welding activities, inspections, and quality control measures. Generate reports on productivity, quality, and resource utilization. Communication : Communicate effectively with other departments, including engineering, fabrication, and quality assurance.
