Senior MERN Stack Engineer (6-10 yrs)

Quick Role Summary :

As a Senior MERN Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the MERN stack. You will work closely with cross- functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

You will take responsibility for the full design life-cycle. You use your intuition and insights from user research to explore and present innovative and pragmatic design solutions. In this role you will be ideating with the product team, developing original design concepts, bringing best practices to an evolving design process, and providing engineers with the resources and documentation they need to realize designs across web and native platforms, desktop, tablet, and mobile form factors.

Required Experience & Responsibilities

- Front-end Development : Develop and maintain user interfaces using React.js, ensuring responsive and visually appealing designs.

- Back-end Development : Design, implement, and maintain server-side logic using Node.js and Express.js.

- Database Management : Manage and optimize MongoDB databases, including data modeling, indexing, and querying.

- API Development : Create and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.

- Code Reviews : Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality and best practices.

- Performance Optimization : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in both front-end and back-end code.

- Collaboration : Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features and improvements on time.

- Documentation : Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.

- Mentorship : Mentor junior developers and assist in their growth and skill development.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Full-stack or MERN Stack Developer, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

- Strong proficiency in Material UI, Tailwind CSS frameworks.

- Expertise in React.js, NextJS and Tan Stack for front-end development.

- Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js for back-end development.

- Experience with Postgres and other RDBMS databases.

- Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

- Experience developing on microservices architecture, implementing security features like authentication, SSO and encryption .

- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

- Familiarity with AWS & GCP cloud services.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and test-driven development (TDD).

- Familiarity with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack) and CSS pre- processors (e.g., Sass).

- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.

- Experience in Scaling, Load Balancing, Distributed Services, Databases
