Job Description

A Snapshot of Your Days

This role is in the field of Mechanical Rotating Engineering. Person will be responsible for design and engineering of integrally geared centrifugal compressor.

How You ll Make an Impact / Responsibilities

1. Designs and Engineering of integrally geared centrifugal compressor.

2. Pre-check of compressor design, selection of models, optimization of power and efficiency

3. Pre-check of mechanics, gear design and construction of compressor

4. Support to bid management / proposal during pre-order engineering

5. Preparation of Model, Assembly, Drawings and Bill of Material for compressor parts and assembly using SIEMENS NX and TEAMCENTRE.

6. To Read Customer specification and define requirement for compressor. Participate in Kick off meetings.

7. To prepare detailed manufacturing drawings of Integrally Geared Compressor and assemblies in compliance to Siemens Standards.

8. Maintain quality standards by thorough check of all models, drawings and implementing various quality improvement processes.

9. To work with Global team, communication at various level in team.

10. To support Supplier development, manufacturing, and assembly of compressor. Participate in new product development, VAVE, cost out projects.

11. To release work in SAP, use SAP for generation of different reports.

12. Preparing and reviewing customer documents for core compressor assembly such as cross-section, part list, lifting arrangement, etc.

What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities

Minimum Bachelor s or equivalent degree in mechanical engineering with Good Academic

Master s degree in mechanical engineering or Machine design will be preferred.

Experience / Technical skills requirement:

13. Minimum of 10 to 12 years of design work experience in Engineering and Design and experience in 3D CAD tools

14. Have basic knowledge and experience on Turbo machinery design/detail engineering.

15. Know How of Integrally Geared Compressor engineering, API 617, material selection and other related standards will be an added advantage.

16. Thorough knowledge of preparing 3-D parametric models in NX.

17. Thorough knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)

18. Knowledge of manufacturing process & DFM will be an added advantage.

19. Good communication skills and presentations skills.

20. Software Tools - Hands on experience on Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point.

21. Very good learning capability / quick learner

22. Shall have fundamental knowledge of Engineering, Basic rules of drawing and Drafting
