Apigee Architect

Job Description:

As a Principal Solution Hands-On Consultant, you will be a key technical leader, responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions for our clients. The person in this role will be a point for escalation and SME for technical teams that are blocked and will be responsible for unblocking and resolving team and customer challenges and issues. You will work closely with stakeholders across multiple teams, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. Your expertise in cloud platforms, microservices, and modern software development practices will be crucial in driving trust, CSAT, Partnership and Delivery Excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Experience:

• Expert Level understanding of APIM principles, Cloud Foundations, API Traffic Patterns and Security. Able to take ownership of an existing ecosystem based on standard practices and be accountable for it going forward.
• Expert Level Experience running Design Workshops for Apigee X & Apigee Hybrid with the ability to address the needs of Cloud, Network, Security and Application Development teams for Apigee APIM
• Expert Level Experience in running Cloud Landing Zone and Cloud Networking JAD session for GCP. Expert at handling documenting, finalization and implementation of design.
• Expert Level experience in design, development and Governance of Apigee API Proxies, Sharedflows as well as Microservices based Solutions on Spring framework and Node.js
• Expert Level understanding of Apigee APIM ( Platform and Infrastructure supporting Apigee APIM)
• Advanced Level skills handling High Transaction and High Value Payment Solutions
• Advanced Expertise in creating low level platform implementation plans with dependencies, resource skills and critical path. Guide Program and project Management with proper execution of plan.
• Support Sales and Account Management teams with Pre-sales activities such as Discovery, RFP Response, Technical Proposal and Estimates for SOW

Problem Management and Resolution:

• Advanced Hand-on Experience in Troubleshooting Issues in Traffic Flow and Hand-on Support for the team as needed.
• Advanced Hands-on handling of High Transaction and High Value Payment production issues and resolution of the same.
• Expert Hands-on understanding of Apigee APIM Platform Troubleshooting, Problem identification, Debugging and Incident Resolution
• Expert Hand-on experience in following data and http traffic across and cloud and Data Center towards problem identification and mitigation
• Expert understating of debugging and Tracing applications that are containerized and running in a distributed ecosystem

Cloud Platforms:

• Extensive experience with using min two of the GCP/AWS/Azure. Experience should include the ability to design Cloud Landing Zones as well as Hybrid-Cloud Infrastructure such as Kubernetes
• Expert level experience in documenting information for multiple users ( C-Level to Platform Engineers)
• Advanced Experience in Troubleshooting Issues on Cloud

Software Development:

• Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, NoSQL, REST, SOAP, gRPC, Event Driven Arch and Node.js. Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and development using Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of API integration technologies and best practices.
• Solid Understanding of K8 based Application development and Deployment on AWS EKS (or) GCP GKE (or) Azure AKS (or) Rancher (or) RedHat Open Shift
• Solid understanding of Application Performance management with DataDog/DynaTrace plus Google Cloud Monitoring (or) AWS Cloud Watch for distributed tracing, container tracing and event tracing.

DevOps & CI/CD:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Expertise in application logging & alerting based on SLIs and SLOs in a AWS /GCP /AKS /On-prem environment. Adept at using Cloud Logging , monitoring and DevSecOps Tools across multiple clouds
• Advanced knowledge of CVE Management and best practices for Golden Image Creating and Maintain.

Leadership & Communication:

• Action Oriented, able to assess and take quick control of fluid situations and establish self as a go advisor and SME
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Focused on Continuous Learning and polyglot in nature. Self-motivated and rapidly adapts to a changing ecosystem.
