Skills Required :
- Proficiency with popular monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Micro Focus, or Science Logic.
- Strong knowledge of performance monitoring (i.e., CPU, Memory, Disk, and Network performance) and availability monitoring techniques.
- Ability to monitor and manage IT infrastructure's capacity (including servers, network, and storage devices) to ensure system stability.
- Experience with server, network, and storage alerts, along with remediation steps to resolve issues in real-time.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, switches, routers, firewalls, storage, and network devices).
- Well-versed in ITIL processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for managing incidents, service requests, and change requests.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) for creating reports, presentations, and diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with various teams across the organization.
- Proactive and Reactive Monitoring : Ability to both proactively identify potential issues and react effectively to incidents as they arise.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Constantly monitor the health of servers, network devices, and links through a variety of monitoring tools.
- Ensure early identification and resolution of any issues, minimizing downtime and service disruption.
- Conduct Syslog monitoring for event logging and troubleshooting.
- Implement proactive monitoring techniques to identify potential issues before they impact the organization.
- React to real-time alerts to mitigate issues that may cause downtime or affect user experience.
- Follow the escalation matrix for incident management, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and escalated if necessary.
- Perform L1 Troubleshooting for incidents and escalate to the appropriate teams for further resolution if required.
- Manage and coordinate with ISPs in case of connectivity issues (i.e., slow internet, downtime) to resolve problems quickly.
- Track the performance of network links and ensure optimal connectivity.
- Regularly monitor the CPU utilization, memory usage, and error logs of devices, ensuring that any anomalies are identified and resolved swiftly.
- Prepare reports related to device performance, including CPU Usage, Memory Usage, and Bandwidth Usage for network devices.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) or IT infrastructure monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with performance, availability, and capacity management in a production environment.
- Strong familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices for service management.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Micro Focus, Science Logic, or similar.
- Knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow, for incident and service request management.
- Solid understanding of network devices, servers, and storage systems.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
