Job Title : Network Service Engineer (On-Premise).
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Service Engineer (On-Premise) to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure within our on-premise data center environment.
This role is pivotal in ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency for all network operations supporting our business-critical applications and services.
Key Responsibilities :
- Network Design and Architecture : Develop and implement network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and data center networks, tailored to on-premise environments.
- Implementation and Configuration : Deploy and configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitoring and Maintenance : Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary fixes to maintain service availability and reliability.
- Security Management : Implement and manage network security policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
- Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization : Analyze current network usage, forecast future growth, and optimize the infrastructure to meet business demands.
- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topologies, and operational processes.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, application developers, and security specialists, to support and enhance network-related initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven expertise in on-premise network engineering, including design, deployment, and support of enterprise-level network infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (e., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors (e., Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network services such as DHCP, DNS, and NAT.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Solid knowledge of network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with high-availability solutions, redundancy configurations, and disaster recovery planning for networks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills :
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar.
- Knowledge of data center management practices.
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting.
