Senior Storage Engineer - SAN/NAS (1-2 yrs)

Job Title : Senior Storage Engineer.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Storage Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable storage solutions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise storage systems.

This role requires a proactive problem solver with expertise in modern storage technologies, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and high-performance storage solutions for enterprise environments.

- Manage and optimize storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and disaster recovery capabilities.

- Analyze and improve the performance of storage systems, identifying potential issues before they impact operations.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to understand storage needs and provide tailored solutions.

- Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for data storage management and security.

- Lead storage-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.

- Monitor storage usage trends and develop strategies for capacity expansion and cost optimization.

- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication solutions to ensure data integrity and protection.

- Evaluate emerging storage technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance business performance.

- Troubleshoot complex issues related to storage systems and ensure timely resolution.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing scalable enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, and object storage).

- Proficiency with storage technologies from major vendors (such as NetApp, Dell EMC, Hitachi, or HPE).

- Experience with cloud-based storage solutions and hybrid cloud environments.

- Strong understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB, etc.

- Expertise in storage virtualization and software-defined storage platforms.

- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery technologies.

- Solid knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning for storage infrastructure.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in scripting and automation for storage management (PowerShell, Python, etc.

- Strong project management and documentation skills.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

- At least 7 years of experience in storage engineering or a related role.

- Industry certifications in storage technologies (e.g. , NetApp NCIE, Dell EMC Proven Professional, or similar) are a plus.
