Procurement Manager

Job Description

The role involves overseeing the procurement process for the overall scope of work. Key responsibilities include:

- Requirement Identification: Identify all requirements in purchase requisitions for the overall scope of work.

- Quotation Management: Receive and evaluate competitive price quotations, ensuring equal opportunity for potential suppliers to meet requirements.

- Terms and Inspection: Establish delivery terms, inspection stages, and timelines in collaboration with the team.

- Negotiation: Negotiate the best payment terms and contract conditions while maintaining high integrity.

- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records to justify decisions and the procurement process.

- Purchase Order Issuance: Issue purchase orders and ensure timely execution.

- Shipment Tracking: Monitor and expedite shipments to meet timelines.

- Delivery & Inspection: Handle delivery, inspection, and assist in insurance claims if required.

- Material Handling: Manage the storage and handling of materials on-site during installation, commissioning, and close out any surplus/defective materials post-project completion.

- Vendor Coordination: Manage client acceptance/rejection, warranties, and supplier follow-ups until project completion.

- Market Updates & Vendor Development: Stay updated with market trends and support vendor development initiatives.

- Collaboration: Arrange and participate in meetings with suppliers and company engineers to facilitate standardization and cost-effective procurement.

- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Effective managerial and technical knowledge.

- Solid market knowledge and understanding of procurement dynamics.

Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement.

Qualification

- Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
