About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager, Data Analytics to lead a team in interpreting complex data and driving data-informed business decisions and strategies. This role is pivotal in examining and analyzing data from diverse sources to generate actionable insights. The ideal candidate should possess a strong blend of analytical expertise, technical proficiency, business acumen, and leadership experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights, optimize business processes, and contribute to strategic initiatives within the financial services domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts (10+ members), fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Utilize statistical tools and techniques to analyze large datasets, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and generate comprehensive reports.
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations and reports for leadership, effectively communicating complex data insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, prioritize business requirements, and translate them into actionable data analysis projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, resource optimization, and cost reduction through data analysis.
• Contribute to fraud detection and risk management strategies by developing and implementing data-driven models.
• Should be able to Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data visualizations, analysis reports, and interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for handling big data and enhancing the intelligence of risk management models.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging data analysis frameworks and tools.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Comfortable in SQL with additional proficiency in office tools like Excel & PowerPoint.
• Experience with writing queries, stored procedures, data visualization and dashboarding tools (Power BI/Tableau) is preferred.

Analytical Skills:

• Exceptional ability to analyze large and complex datasets, derive actionable insights, and translate them into business recommendations.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts, methods, and modelling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, time series analysis, hypothesis testing).
• Experience in developing and implementing data-driven solutions for fraud detection and risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of data analysts.
• Demonstrated experience working with large datasets, deriving actionable insights, and influencing business decisions.

Communication & Leadership:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong presentation and data storytelling skills.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop team members.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
