Role & responsibilities

The Sales Manager OEM Segment is responsible for driving sales, managing key accounts, and developing strategies to grow revenue from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The role involves building strong relationships with OEM clients, understanding their needs, and aligning the companys products or services to meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies specific to the OEM segment to achieve or exceed sales targets.
    • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales approaches.
  2. Account Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential OEM customers.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring timely resolution of queries and issues.
    • Negotiate and close long-term agreements with OEM clients.
  3. Business Development:
    • Identify new business opportunities within the OEM sector.
    • Lead initiatives to penetrate new markets or regions.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
  4. Collaboration & Coordination:
    • Work closely with internal teams such as product development, marketing, and supply chain to ensure customer requirements are met.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  5. Market Intelligence:
    • Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to tailor offerings to customer needs.
  6. Reporting & Analysis:
    • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, presenting insights and recommendations to management.
    • Prepare detailed sales forecasts and reports.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum [X] years of experience in sales, with a strong focus on the OEM segment.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Experience in [specify relevant industry, e.g., automotive, machinery, electronics, etc.].
  3. Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • In-depth understanding of OEM business models and purchasing processes.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data.
