2. JOB PURPOSE: Job Context :The job context for Group Head Electrical and Instrumentation is to provide leadership for the entire Shree Renuka Sugar Ltd., Sugar business electrical and instrumentation team. This includes planning, troubleshooting, improvement, project management, technology upgradation, safety etc. Challenges :The challenges involve complex sugar industry set up, regulatory compliance, Meeting and setting world class safety standards in E & I function and to meet Wilmar safety E & I Standards, Resource management, Risk assessment & Mitigation, troubleshooting etc.
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Responsibilities
(Min 6 responsibilities)A Group Head of Electrical and Instrumentation is a senior-level position in our organization, typically for sugar manufacturing, energy, and engineering. The job description for this role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Electrical and Instrumentation team, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives.


  • Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of electrical and instrumentation engineers, technicians, and other professionals.


  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical and instrumentation projects of the group, ensuring they are on time and within budget.


  • Electrical and Instrumentation Systems: Ensure the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment are in compliance with industry standards and regulations.


  • Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, standards, and regulatory compliance within the department meeting Wilmar and Global standards.


  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the department's budget, allocating resources efficiently for projects and maintenance.


  • Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in electrical and instrumentation systems, applying relevant knowledge to improve processes and systems.


  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, maintenance, and operations to ensure seamless integration of electrical and instrumentation systems.


  • Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to secure necessary resources and services.


  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks in electrical and instrumentation systems, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.


  • Training and Development: Promote the professional growth of team members through training and development programs.


Report

  • Prepare and present reports to senior management, detailing departmental performance, project status, and recommendations for improvements.

Target Institute(s) Qualifications for this role typically include a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related field, along with extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation systems and management particularly related to Sugar industry.

A Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Additionally, knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards is critical for this position.Added Advantage
