Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Procurement:
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for a wide range of nutraceutical raw materials like vitamins, minerals, herbs, botanical extracts, amino acids, and other functional ingredients.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, assess their quality standards, and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Issue purchase orders and manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
• Vendor Management:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, including regular communication and performance evaluations.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including pricing terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs and address quality or delivery issues promptly.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all procured raw materials meet stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance (GMP, FDA).
• Collaborate with the Quality Control team to review supplier quality documentation and conduct necessary testing.
• Implement quality control measures to prevent the receipt of non-compliant raw materials.
• Inventory Management:
• Forecast raw material demand based on production plans and maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure timely replenishment.
• Cost Optimization:
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through market analysis, supplier negotiations, and exploring alternative sourcing options.
• Analyze price trends and negotiate favorable pricing with suppliers.
