Fabric Store Keeper cum Manager

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Fabric Store Keeper cum Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of all types of fabric materials, particularly greige fabric, and expertise in inventory management. This role requires handling fabric issuance and receipt, ensuring stock accuracy, and supporting seamless production processes, including coordination with dyeing mills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the fabric store, ensuring efficiency, organization, and safety.
• Issue and receive fabric stock (greige and processed) to/from production and processing departments.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Liaise with dyeing mills and suppliers to ensure the timely availability of fabrics for production needs.
• Implement and maintain best practices for stock control and inventory management.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on fabric stock movements, consumption, and inventory levels.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the textile or garment manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of various fabric materials, with a focus on greige fabrics.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems (preferred but not mandatory).
