Manager Sales (US Logistics)

Role Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Freight Brokerage Manager (US LOGISTICS) to lead our brokerage operations, build relationships with carriers and shippers, and drive revenue growth. This role requires strong industry knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage and scale a high-performing brokerage team.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance Management

• Hire, train, and mentor a team of freight brokers and dispatchers.
• Set KPIs and drive the team to achieve revenue and margin goals.
• Implement performance tracking systems to optimize efficiency and service levels.

Operations & Carrier Management

• Oversee daily freight brokerage operations, ensuring smooth execution of shipments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating competitive rates.
• Monitor market trends and optimize freight lanes for cost-effective solutions.

Shipper & Customer Relations

• Identify and onboard new shipper clients to expand business opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high service levels.
• Address and resolve customer concerns while ensuring timely freight deliveries.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to DOT regulations and freight brokerage compliance policies.
• Mitigate risks by vetting carriers and ensuring proper documentation and insurance.
• Handle disputes, claims, and contract negotiations effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar role within the US logistics industry.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of freight management software and CRM tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
