International Logistics Manager

Logistics Operations:
Plan, implement, and oversee the logistics operations for international shipments, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries across the globe.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers for seamless transportation.
Supply Chain Management:
Monitor and optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop strategies to mitigate risks such as delays, customs issues, and supplier disruptions.
Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with global logistics partners and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective services.
Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, trade laws, and customs requirements.
Oversee the preparation and verification of shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and staff, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, sales, and customer service to align logistics goals with business objectives.
Performance Monitoring:
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations and implement measures for continuous improvement.
Utilize technology and software to track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and forecast logistics needs.
Cost Control:
Develop budgets for international logistics operations and implement strategies to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in international logistics and supply chain management, preferably in a global organization.
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
Proven ability to manage large-scale logistics operations and multi-modal transportation (air, sea, road).
Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS).
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
