Associate Consultant Paediatrics

Role & responsibilities

• 12:00 noon to 08:00 pm full time job
• 3 hours OPD per day
• Ward round of paediatric patients, emergency consultation as and when required.
• call duty every third day.
• Provide preventive care, including vaccinations, growth monitoring, and developmental screenings.
• Manage and coordinate care for pediatric patients with complex medical needs or chronic conditions, collaborating with specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Educate parents, caregivers, and patients about child development, nutrition, safety, and preventive health measures.
• Provide counseling and guidance on topics such as breastfeeding, infant and child nutrition, sleep habits, and injury prevention.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and developmental assessments, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Perform minor procedures as needed.
• Evaluate developmental milestones and screen for developmental delays, learning disabilities, and behavioral issues.
• Provide early intervention services and referrals to specialists for paediatric patients

Preferred candidate profile

* Postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics from a recognized institution.
* Preferred minimum of post PG 5 years of experience • * Preferred work experience in the area of Neonatal Intensive Care
* Preferred valid BLS, NALS and PALS certifications.
