What you will do:
Lead efforts to resolve customer service outages in an expedited manner and minimize the disruptions experienced by the clinical staff
Analyze problems and apply any feasible mitigations to minimize disruption if a permanent fix is not immediately available
Record relevant data regarding a production issue, provide problem summary to non-subject matter experts
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to communicate production related problems and coordinate the associated validation prior to customer deployment; incorporating new tests into the standard validation workflows
Investigate and solve customer infrastructure problems (ie focus on wireless related issues) that may be indirectly causing production problems, conduct functional and performance characterization to extract evidence of root cause
Work with the development teams to improve quality and support of production issues
Tackle related engineering tasks including performance profiling, integration testing, technical proof of concepts, etc
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent
4+ years experience in C/C++ OOPs-based application development and supporting embedded Linux systems
Experience in using networking tools and sound knowledge in debugging networking applications, solid understanding of unicast and multicast data transmission
Technical background with Wi-Fi networking including security and authentication protocols (ie 802.1x, EAP-FAST, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, EAP-PEAP)
Understanding of hardware subsystem interface and debugging in an embedded environment
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
Hands-on experience in developing scripts and performing testing and debugging embedded Linux based embedded application
Experience developing device drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, and other similar peripherals
Good development experience on networking interfaces like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, SDIO, and USB
Good Knowledge of OS concepts, firmware, device drivers, system internals, networking tools, and utilities.
Demonstrated ability to review existing code base and refactoring, exposure to Java, Ruby and other OOP
Excellent proficiency with Linux (Red Hat or derivative distro), exposure to system administration, shell scripting, network configurations, server virtualization and cloud deployments
