Senior Data Analyst

Objectives of this Role

• Understand financial market and has ability to read reports and convert them to insights and key takeaways for client
• Prior experience in insight writing and story-telling from data.
• Design, develop, conducts unit testing, and maintains complex Power BI/ Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
• Prepare backend data with ETL tools and SQL.
• Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team.
• Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
• Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides.
• Resolve support tickets related to Power BI/Tableau reports.

Responsibilities

• Proven experience in BFS industry for delivering business insights
• Proven experience in developing and working PowerBI & Tableau driven dashboards, analytics.
• Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbook.
• Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
• A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modelling, and normalization
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree. MBA Finance (optional)
• Experience and exposure to BI tools, Power BI etc.
• 3 or more years of experience with SQL, and data visualization/exploration tools
• Communication skills, especially explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, research-oriented team with concurrent projects. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building or maintaining data backends and dashboards.
