SG Analytics - Associate - Private Equity/Fund Accounting Services - CA/CPA (5-10 yrs)

Role: Associate Private Equity Fund Accounting Services

Purpose:

- SGA is rapidly expanding its PE business and seeks a highly skilled Sr. Analyst to manage client onboarding and project execution. The ideal candidate should,

i) Possess strong fund accounting and administration skill.

ii) Proficient with US GAAP.

iii) Demonstrated ability to create solutions for unstructured requests.

iv) Excel in independent execution of clients fund accounting needs.

- This role also requires effective collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

- Calculate returns based on management fees, carry rates, performance fees, interest income from debt investments, and fund expenses.

- Maintaining books and records and calculating fund Net Asset Values.

- Reviewing and/or calculating carried interest/performance/incentive fees.

- Reviewing and/or preparing Capital Call memos, LC Opening, and following Up with LPs for funding.

- Distribution, Process accounting transactions in an accurate and timely manner using transaction definitions while understanding their purpose and requirements.

- Assist in reconciling account balances, including bank recs.

- Reviewing and/or preparing financial statements and associated reports, including performance metrics.

- Complete draft of quarterly financials formatting and supporting schedule reconciliations.

- Reviewing and/or preparing Distribution working, LP Memo, Fund Transfer Wire, and Repayment of LCs.

- Reconciling, tracking and reporting cash, posting entries, tracking of capital.

- Coordinating and/or processing payments and other transactions.

- Monitoring transactions of the Funds to ensure all transactions and processes are in accordance with the LPA and facility agreements.

- Acting as a primary day-to-day contact with clients and other fund participants.

- Work closely with the Investor Relations team to respond to investor queries and to disseminate capital activity and other investor notices.

- Identifying and escalating any material issues effecting service delivery.

Experience & Skills: Masters degree in accounting

Professional accounting qualification CA, CPA, ACCA or similar

- Minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in fund accounting, particularly to Private Equity/ Venture Capital Funds and Fund of Funds

- Working knowledge of accounting and reporting software for Private Equity funds (e.g. Investran and EFront) is highly desirable.

- Experience in Limited Partnership accounting.

- Private equity fund administration experience.

- Experienced in reviewing and preparing general ledger and financial statements.

- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written).

- Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines.

- A team player who can manage individual responsibilities.

- Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
