TEST ENGINEER Power Electronics

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and Validation:
• Develop, plan, and execute tests for power electronics systems (e.g., inverters, converters, EV chargers, etc.).
• Validate performance and reliability of components, including power semiconductors, magnetics, capacitors, and thermal management systems.
• Perform functional, endurance, and environmental testing to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Support safety and compliance testing (EMI/EMC, thermal, insulation, etc.).
• Set up and maintain test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal chambers, etc.
• Work with automated test systems to streamline test processes.

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in power electronics testing, preferably in automotive, renewable energy, or industrial applications.
• Willing to travel between Cochin and Chennai
• Experience with high-power systems (e.g., >10 kW) and high-voltage testing.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of power electronics principles and components (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, GaN devices).
• Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, and other diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing, thermal management, and reliability testing.
• Experience with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, MIL-STD).
• Proficiency in using test automation tools and software for data analysis (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, etc.).
