Payroll Management

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Executive to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements, statutory compliance, and supporting exit formalities. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll systems, and a solid understanding of statutory requirements like TDS, bonus calculations, and employee relations.

Role & responsibilities

1. Payroll Management:
• Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
• Manage attendance, overtime, and deductions for payroll processing.
• Maintain payroll records and generate pay slips for employees.
2. Full and Final Settlement:
• Handle the full and final settlement process for exiting employees, ensuring all dues are cleared as per company policy.
• Coordinate with the concerned departments for necessary clearance (e.g., IT, assets).
• Ensure timely processing and payment of final settlements, including leave encashment and gratuity (if applicable).
3. Exit Formalities:
• Oversee exit interviews, clearance, and documentation for employees leaving the company.
• Ensure compliance with the company's exit policies and ensure all records are updated.
4. Statutory Compliance & Compliance Management:
• Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and timely submission of statutory filings and contributions.
5. TDS Calculations:
• Calculate and deduct TDS from employee salaries in accordance with tax laws.
• Prepare and file TDS returns and ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act.
6. Bonus & Salary Calculations:
• Ensure correct calculation and disbursement of bonuses (e.g., Festival bonuses, performance-linked incentives).
• Manage salary adjustments, including promotions, increments, and arrears.
7. Employee Relations:
• Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related queries.
• Ensure transparency and clear communication about salary, deductions, and benefits.
• Resolve any payroll-related grievances promptly and professionally.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in payroll management.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and labor laws.
• Experience with payroll software and HRMS systems.
• Knowledge of TDS, EPF, ESI, and other statutory deductions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in Payroll or HR-related courses.
• Experience in handling payroll for large organizations.
