Role : Server Support Engineer (L2 & L3).
Location : Chennai.
Experience : 6+ Years.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Windows-based servers, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Manage and troubleshoot server issues, including hardware, operating system, and application-related problems.
- Administer and support Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), including identity and access management, group policies, and role-based access control.
- Perform server patching, updates, and maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Monitor server performance and proactively address potential issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Configure and maintain server backups, disaster recovery solutions, and failover mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address escalated issues and implement solutions for complex problems.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
- Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and server migrations to meet business needs.
Mandatory Skills :
- Windows Server Administration : Expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
- Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) : Proficiency in configuring and managing Azure AD, identity synchronization, and integration with on-premises AD.
- Server Support (L2 & L3) : Hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving escalated server and system-related issues.
- System Monitoring Tools : Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), SolarWinds, or equivalent.
- Backup and Recovery : Experience with backup solutions like Veeam, CommVault, or Azure Backup.
Desired Skills :
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
- Scripting experience (PowerShell or Bash) for automation and task optimization.
- Understanding of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and end-user support.
