Job Description
- Must have advanced knowledge in power electronics and power convertors, with specific expertise in design, analysis and optimisation for wind turbines.
- Should have strong understanding of electrical generators and power systems.
- Should have thorough knowledge of electric grid codes and standards.
- Must have a practical experience in control techniques for power electronics.
- Should be proficient in modelling and simulation of power electronic systems for wind turbines
- Should have a thorough understanding of DMFEA
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a deep understanding of power system dynamics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design review focusing on converter hardware, generators (integration into nacelle, electrical system integration), and new electrical drive train design concepts including support in troubleshooting operations.
- Integration of generator and converter into the wind turbine system in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations and taking into account the requirements of all specialist disciplines.
- Creation and testing of technical documentation as well as support and organization of factory acceptance tests, hall tests and commissioning. Status change of components in SAP (release/block ). Examination and evaluation of results from acceptance tests and tests Internal specifications in the form of specifications and/or company standards for the generator converter system. The work is carried out according to objectives with increased scope for action for a task area with, if necessary, the implementation of adjustments in processes.
- Processing customer inquiries and internal inquiries as well as representing Senvion s interests with suppliers, external service providers and internal customers. The interests of the assigned area of responsibility are represented in relation to other target groups.
- Technical guidance of employees within the framework of development projects and technical workshops.
- Development of market unique selling points and their patent protection, observation of technological developments in the competitive environment, transfer of technologies from other industries to application in wind energy and patent evaluation and examination. The tasks described above require innovative thinking to solve novel tasks while taking long-term development trends into account.
- Provision of the technical documentation required in the company and ensuring documentation management and creating/initiating risk assessments and FMEAs and carrying out the resulting measures.
