Must have extensive experience in architecting, designing and implementing SCADA systems.
Must have knowledge of Wind Turbine.
Must have experience in SCADA Network solutions and Cyber Security and communication interfaces.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the SCADA systems engineering team in designing, architecting, and implementing SCADA systems for large wind farms using state-of-the-art open-source or commercial OS platforms.
Develop and maintain networking solutions to ensure seamless data communication within wind farms and between the wind farm and the central monitoring system.
Oversee periodic checkups, tracking, and coordination with wind farm operations and customers to ensure proactive maintenance of SCADA systems and subsystems.
Handle configuration and troubleshooting of wind farm networks, including fibre-optic and Ethernet networks, switches, and radios (WAN and LAN).
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for internal (SCADA team, operations) and external (customers) use.
Ensure SCADA systems comply with OPC UA, IEC 61400-25, and IEC 61850 standards, and possess a complete understanding of various communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
Ensure accurate time synchronization across all systems to maintain data integrity and reliability.
Analyse data to optimize wind turbine performance, predict failures, and improve overall wind farm efficiency.
Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of SCADA systems.
Oversee regular operation and maintenance activities for SCADA systems at both wind farm and central monitoring levels, ensuring configuration meets internal and external customer requirements.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in wind power SCADA and wind turbine control.
Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed for SCADA systems.
Lead SCADA implementation projects and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality results.
Constantly interact with internal stakeholders and external customers to improve wind power application performance, availability, reliability, and conduct MTBF and MTTR calculations.
Utilize data analytics and AI/ML techniques to enhance system performance and predictive maintenance capabilities.
Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.
Ensure 100% compliance with QMS processes.
Communicate appropriately to all teams about program execution progress, risk, milestones etc
