Senior Research Analyst

• Develop and implement a comprehensive statistical analysis plan (SAP) for meta-analyses, ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines such as PRISMA and other regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the research team to define clear roles and responsibilities for data extraction, analysis, and synthesis, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the process.
• Ensure proper statistical methodologies are applied in meta-analysis, including effect size calculation, heterogeneity assessment, sensitivity analyses, and publication bias evaluation.
• Review study inclusion/exclusion criteria and data extraction methods to ensure that included studies are appropriate and their data is comparable for meta-analysis.
• Independently verify the accuracy of extracted data, ensuring that key study characteristics, interventions, outcomes, and statistical measures are correctly recorded.
• Conduct detailed statistical analyses, including fixed and random effects models, subgroup analysis, and meta-regression, ensuring methodological rigor and transparency.
• Review the interpretation of meta-analytic results, ensuring findings are clearly communicated and aligned with the research objectives.
• Ensure proper documentation of all statistical analysis activities, including any deviations, assumptions, and detailed steps taken during the meta-analysis process.
• Manage and track the versions of analysis outputs, ensuring timely circulation of results and feedback incorporation from key stakeholders.
• Address discrepancies or conflicts in data interpretation during the meta-analysis process and provide solutions to maintain analysis integrity.
• Escalate critical issues related to the statistical validity or methodological challenges of the meta-analysis to project leads.
• Identify opportunities for methodological improvements and contribute to the refinement of internal guidelines and best practices for conducting meta-analyses.
• Stay updated on advances in statistical methods, meta-analysis techniques, and best practices within the context of evidence synthesis in the life sciences.
