Job Description

Job summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SrMgr with 14 to 18 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Operational Procurement Ariba Category Procurement Contract Analytics Analytics Insights Vendor Risk Management and Vendor Management. This role is hybrid and requires no travel. The candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Oversee the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.

Provide insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making and drive business performance.

Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for vendor-related risks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and achieve business objectives.

Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress and drive continuous improvement.

Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.

Provide training and guidance to team members on procurement best practices and tools.

Drive process improvements and efficiencies in procurement and financial planning activities.

Qualifications

Possess a strong background in Operational Procurement and Ariba Category Procurement.

Demonstrate expertise in Contract Analytics and Analytics Insights.

Have experience in Vendor Risk Management and Vendor Management.

Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Show proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.

Display strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Have a proven track record of driving process improvements and efficiencies.

Be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.

Possess a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.

- Show ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills.

Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

At a junior level, M and below, job security is extremely high. In past 3 years I didn't find organisation trying to fire people deliberately. In many cases poor performing people end up staying in the organisation enjoying the perks. Most junior people are protected the most. Another positive is everyone gets the same percentage of salary hike as per the Rating.

Dislikes

Promotions are restricted to Kolkata or Chennai people mainly, other city people have less preference as the seniors sit there. Same while giving important projects.
