Job Description
- Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively complex tests.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
- Identifies discrepancies in results and implements corrective actions.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers and technical staff.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
- Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
- Develops and maintains PHE (Plumbing, Heating, and Engineering) design standards and specifications for various building types.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of PHE systems with other building components.
- Conducts site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for design projects.
- Prepares detailed cost estimates and project schedules for PHE design projects.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations related to PHE systems.
- Utilizes advanced software tools for PHE design, including 3D modeling and simulation programs.
- Participates in client meetings to present design concepts and address technical inquiries.
- Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position, with a focus on PHE design for multi-use buildings.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in PHE design for multi-use buildings.
- Proficient in PHE & Fire services Design for Buildings (multi uses).
- Good working knowledge of Revit, CAD, and Navisworks.
- Chartered Engineer or Postgraduate qualification would be preferable.
- Extensive knowledge of building services systems, including plumbing, heating, and ventilation.
- Experience with energy-efficient design principles and sustainable building practices.
- Familiarity with international building codes and standards related to PHE systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and team collaboration.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading design teams.
