Job Brief
The role of a DevOPS Sr. Engineer combines aspect of a technical role and IT operations role. They are likely to be involved with coding, and a knowledge of coding languages and principles, finding problems and build solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Primary responsible for DevOPS & other IT functional applications.
• Be responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS/GCP Cloud infrastructure
• Building and setting up new development tools and Infrastructure
• Build, release, and manage the configuration of all UAT, Dev and Production systems.
• Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies.
• Ensure necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions.
• Implement continuous Integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary.
• Understanding the need of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Experience using DevOPS tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven and Sonar Qube.
• Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus.
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes.
• Working with Product Development and Engineering team to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management determinations.
• Should have good understand on application Deployment Process and DevOPS practices.
• Experience in managing & troubleshooting Servers Linux/Unix, Windows
• Excellent problem solving, root cause analysis and system engineering skills.
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Acts as Release Manager and provides technical and functional expertise in DevOPS processes and practices.
• Provide oversight and leadership for all release planning / release management / release pipeline for project / program and across all environments / applications in scope. Proactively identifies risks that can delay a release and takes action to mitigate.
• Serves as conduit and liaison for project /program.
• Reports story point estimates and actuals timely and accurately.
• Monitors any incidents that may be raised via ticketing system and coordinate for any hotfix deployments for off cycle releases / changes.
• Owns and controls production environments as well as coordinates deployments and code migration between lower environments.
• Handling customer complaints and resolving issues that employees are not authorized to handle on their own.
• Dealing with schedule changes, employee call-ins, and other staffing issues
• Keeping day-to-day activities organized
• Plan, manage, and document all engineering team activities, travel, and post installation requirements.
• Manage and build detailed test plans, configure test environment, and author test reports.
• Apply attack and exploitation techniques in the application of cryptography, network/systems security, authentication/authorization in the design, development, testing to meet network security requirements.
• Develop and recommend technical solutions ensuring the security of enterprise networks and transactions.
• Direct and implement network traffic analysis, network design and analysis, and configuration of dynamic routing protocols.
• Develop network solutions to include accessing and maintaining configuration control of base architecture drawings and Internet Protocol addressing schemes.
• Lead and direct the engineering team’s efforts in surveying, installing, configuring, testing, and integrating network and cryptographic equipment.
• Supervising employees and providing additional training and coaching as needed to ensure everyone is performing their job properly.
• Addressing employee problems on the job to ensure everyone is thriving in the workplace and satisfied with their job and work environment.
• Keep abreast of changes in the standards, technologies, or methods.
• Carry out administrative functions, Risk assessment and risk management.

Job Requirements

Experience
11+ Years of experience involved with cloud skills, project management and planning side of development.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration.
• Minimum of 5 years’ design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of software
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with managing large teams including progress monitoring and reporting.
• Minimum of 5 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
